Sonify (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Sonify mobile application (the “App”).
Sonify is a third-party application that integrates with Sonos® products and services. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Sonos, Inc. Use of Sonos® trademarks and services is for descriptive purposes only.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect:
- Personal information such as your name, email address, or contact details
- Usage data, analytics data, or device identifiers
The only data we store on our servers is:
- Queued Track Metadata – media title, artist name, album name, and streaming service name for tracks you add to your queue in the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
The queued track metadata is used only to:
- Display and manage your current music queue in the App
- Enable playback control and queue persistence between sessions
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties. Queued track metadata may be shared only with:
- Sonos APIs – to enable playback and queue management features
- Our Hosting Provider – solely to operate the App’s core features
4. Data Retention
Queued track metadata is stored temporarily to support the queue feature and is automatically removed once no longer required. No personal data is stored.
5. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect all data transmitted between your device, our servers, and the Sonos API.
6. Children’s Privacy
Sonify is not directed toward children under 13 (or the applicable age of majority in your jurisdiction). As we do not collect personal data, we comply with COPPA and similar laws.
7. Third-Party Services
Sonify uses the Sonos Control API to interact with your Sonos devices. Use of Sonos products via Sonify is subject to the Sonos Privacy Policy: https://www.sonos.com/legal/privacy
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will always indicate the latest version. If we make material changes, we will provide notice in the App before changes take effect.
